Danger On The Mountain

Summary:

I enjoyed my time reading a story entitled "Danger on the Mountains" by Pat Balms .The book tells the story of a young girl named Kathy. She was impressed by climbing mountains. Therefore, she went to her uncle Dan who is in another city and works as a ranger in the National Park. There, she learned mountaineering arts which are considered difficult and require a lot of practice. Also, she learned how to preserve wild animals from poachers. She tried to trace them, but she passed by many problems such as the downfall of the boat in the river. Finally, Kathy could identify their place. And, thus, she helped to put under the arrest and saved the wilderness.

Response:

At first, I was confused because I did not know why the author moved from climbing as a hobby to preserve wild animals as a moral duty, but when I read the book again, I understood the content of this book clearly.
I have decided to change this book at first glance because it contains a lot of difficult and complex sentences, but I could guess many of them correctly. Thus, I continued to read it until the end.
I think it's a book appropriate for children over the age of ten because it has many lessons (can plant many of positive qualities)such as challenge, determination, and confidence.

  1. How are you?
I would thank you because you teach me how I use word (thus) in the sentence. It is first time for me to see this world. On the other hand, I was interested while I was reading you’re summery, but l didn’t persuade of the end of story. On the other word, can you believe that a young girl able to put wild animals under the arrest by herself?

  2. When you say that you "didn't persuade the end of the story," do you mean that you didn't understand it or didn't agree with it?

  3. I did not say that I am convinced or not convinced at all, but I mean that the end was somewhat strange. How can a little girl helping in the arrest of professional hunters? The answer is she saw them from the top of a tree has climbed, so followed their traces. As a result of that, she able to report their place, but I think it's a little girl and can not play this role!
